Making Plans for the Summer? Try ONE LAB!

Are you looking for something to do this summer?  If you are a student, architect, artist, scientist, or just interested in all the above, be sure to check out ONE LAB in NYC!

This year’s, ONE LAB will last for 3 weeks and concentrate on recent advances in biotechnology.  Participants will explore design with a variety of different types of living matter including; living tissues, bacteria, tree grafting, fungi growth control, and parametric scripting.

Forty researchers and scientists are participating in this year’s program.  Here are some of the people that you can expect to meet if you go; internationally recognized scientists – Dr. Oliver Medvedik; Dr. Ellen Jorgenson; Dr. Dickson D. Despommier and renown designers and artists: Vito Acconnci, Natalie Jeremijenko, Marc Forens.

ONE LAB will consist of a 1 seminar week with guest speakers and 2 workshop weeks.  The daily lectures and seminars will be lead by Terreform ONE, Planetary ONE, and the ONE LAB Team.  Participants will be able to chose from a series of day long workshops.  Each workshop and seminar is offered at a beginner level and participants do not need previous knowledge or experience in order to participate.
